MV AGUSTA CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF BIG SUCCESSES The 19th Revival MV Agusta, traditional event organized by the International Moto Club of the legendary mark, will take place in Cascina Costa (Varese) on 23rd and 24th June. Varese After the war, travelling along the Italian peninsula or abroad to reach the racing circuits was a real adventure. Still, during those years, an all-Italian motorcycle company began to compete and win in world class 125 and 500cc competitions. These early wins paved the way to a permanent place in motor sport history. 37 times World Constructor Champion, 38 times World Riders Champion, 275 Grand Prix wins, 46 Italian titles and over 3.098 trophies, a record that will perhaps remain forever unequalled. These sixty years of success will be celebrated on 23 and 24 June 2012 in Cascina Costa di Samarate, at the nineteenth MV Agusta Revival, the traditional motorcycle event that last year saw the participation of over ten thousand motorcyclists from around the world. This years event celebrates the historic anniversary of the first world title in the 125 class and the first victory in the 500 class at the GP World Nations of Monza (1952) with Leslie Graham. “It is our responsibility to remember the history of MV Agusta, the story of Italian motorcycling and its riders. MV Agusta has taken on the responsibility of bringing us together to relive the emotions of the past and share in the glory of the present,” commented the President of international Motoclub MV, Luigi Genoni, former mechanic in the motorcycle’s company. “To celebrate the big 60th anniversary of the first world championship,” Genoni continues, “we invited to the nineteenth Revival the greatest Italian and foreign champions: Agostini, Ubbiali, Bonera, Sandford and many others.” The program begins on Saturday, June 23 at 8.30 p.m. with a dinner for the marquee in Cascina Costa and the award of foreign groups participating at the Revival. Sunday, June 24, after St. Mass at 9.00 a.m. at the Church of Cascina Costa, there will be the enrolment for the ride and display of historic motorcycles and racing which will take place from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. and will parade through the streets of the city.
