KLR Group’s Kyle Wyman to roll off second for Monday’s XR1200 race

TOOELE, Utah (May 27) KLR Group Harley-Davidson rider Kyle Wyman made a last lap dash to earn the No. 2 qualifying spot for Monday’s Vance & Hines XR1200 series race at the BigM Weekend at Miller Motorsports Park.

Wyman’s final qualifying lap was his best lap, turning a time of 2 minutes, 8.551 seconds to earn the second spot behind Tyler O’Hara, who won the pole with a time of 2:07.725.

He said he’s not going to settle for the results he got, and Wyman will be working late trying to get his bike perfect.

“It was a pretty good session,” Wyman said. “I’m struggling quite a bit with set up and I’m not very comfortable but we are going to make some serious changes to the bike for the morning.”

The eight-lap XR1200 race gets under way at 1:30 p.m. MDT at Miller Motorsports Park, with Wyman attempting to zero in on his second victory of the season.

“I just could not be happier being out here, doing what I love,” Wyman said. “I wouldn’t be possible without the new sponsors that have come on board: KLR Group, Planet Fitness and GK Motorsports.”
