DENVER, Colo. (April 18, 2012) – M1 PowerSports has once again raised the bar for the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince by bringing MotoGP/World Superbike-level medical coverage to the three M1 PowerSports-promoted events on the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing calendar. Top-of-the-line medical care is a top priority, and the FIM-certified medical team led by Dr. Ray Rossi will be on hand to deliver expert care to the AMA Pro paddock.

Beginning with this weekend’s Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta at Road Atlanta, Dr. Rossi will be joined by his wife, Dr. Lori Rossi, and Physician Assistant John Alexander to deliver the best possible trauma and preventative medical care available. For the Triumph Big Kahuna Miami at Homestead-Miami Speedway and the season-ending Triumph Big Kahuna New Orleans at NOLA Motorsports Park the team will be joined by Dr. John Kieffer. The esteemed physicians are extremely knowledgeable about motorcycle racing and share a similar passion for the AMA Pro paddock.

“At the Big Kahuna, we’re all about taking things to the next level,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “Dr. Rossi is not only my personal physician but he is a close friend and I have worked with him at many of the events that I have promoted over the years. The level of professionalism and racing knowledge that he brings to the table is immense and I am proud to be working with him at this year’s Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta.”

Since 2008, Dr. Ray Rossi has been the Medical Director for the major Miller Motorsports Park events and the FIM Chief Medical Officer for the World Superbike events held at Tooele, Utah facility. Dr. Rossi was also the Physician/Co-Deputy FIM CMO for the MotoGP and World Superbike events held at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca from 2004 to 2010. He has also been a member of the Asterisk Mobile Medical Center for Supermoto events and the Motocross of Nations, a track physician at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, Colo. and has served in a support or advisory role for events ranging from AMA Supercross, AMA Pro Flat Track, AHRMA, Arenacross and more.

“The whole purpose of this medical team is to offer the best possible FIM-certified service to the riders,” said Dr. Ray Rossi. “I look forward to this weekend, when I can combine my lifelong passions of racing and medicine. I’ve often wondered why I haven’t been involved with AMA Pro Racing in the past. Cameron Gray has been my friend for years and I’m excited to be a part of his event. I look forward to learning and growing with my medical team at Road Atlanta this weekend.” Dr. Rossi began riding in 1971 on Yamaha HT1 and enjoys sport touring and dual sport machines, including Baja, for his recreational riding. His diverse competitive riding background includes Road Racing, Flat Track, Motocross, Enduro/Cross-Country, Supermoto, Ice Racing, Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Vintage Motocross and Trials. He currently owns an assortment of street and racing motorcycles highlighted by a Ron Wood SJ600 road racing bike, a Ron Wood flat tracker, a 1995 CCM C25, a 1985 Can Am Sonic, SWM Jumbo trials and a 1998 ATK supermoto machine.
