The successful working partnership between Iveco and Dorna Sports enjoyed in recent seasons will continue throughout 2012 and 2013, following the confirmation of an agreement between the two companies. Iveco’s strong involvement in the MotoGP™ World Championship has been evident in recent seasons with its title sponsorship of Grands Prix and supply of trucks and commercial vehicles, and this will continue as part of the renewed deal with Dorna. In 2012 and 2013 Iveco will be the title sponsor of the Iveco TT Assen and the Iveco Gran Premio de Aragón, and will have prevalent exposure at several other rounds of the 2012 season. In its capacity as world leader in transport services Iveco will also continue to be the official supplier of trucks and commercial vehicles to the MotoGP World Championship, providing a range of its top quality tractors and vans to transport materials, equipment and personnel to all 18 rounds on the calendar. Pau Serracanta, Managing Director Commercial Area Dorna, said: “It’s always good news when leading brands in their respective markets decide to join a competition leader like MotoGP. The continuing relationship for the next two seasons between Iveco and MotoGP confirms the understanding and harmony between both parties. The ongoing partnership allows Dorna to take advantage of the quality of Iveco’s components during the 18 Grands Prix each season and in turn gives Iveco worldwide brand recognition”. Mauro Veglia, Iveco Worldwide Marketing Director, said: “This initiative is a great opportunity for us to increase worldwide the awareness of the Iveco brand and our products (such as Stralis and Daily) and to transmit to our customers the positive energy associated with sport in general. This renewed partnership with Dorna Sport is consistent with Iveco’s international vision and with the continuous research for initiatives that fully express the values of reliability, determination, team spirit, innovation and technology that lie behind the nature of such sport”.
