Guintoli: READY TO FIGHT IN ASSEN We were all frightened when we saw Sylvain Guintoli’s scaring crash in race 1. Just a few laps after the start of the race , at the Tamburello, the French has been attacked by Haslam, who pushed him out of the track and caused the crash of our rider. Luckily, he didn´t report any serious injuries, but hit the asphalt badly. On Monday, following a medical check-up, he commented: “I had a consultation yesterday afternoon with my doctor in UK. The rib is not broken which is a great bonus and will make the recovery time a lot shorter once the heavy bruising goes away. Still i feel very frustrated about the Imola race day as we made such a great job during the practices. I felt ready to race for podiums once again and this was taken away by a mistake from another rider. The good news is that the Team, the bike and myself are “gelling” very well at the moment. So the result is some very good outright speed and pace on track. I am now looking forward to fight in Assen which is one of my favourite tracks”. Taking the opportunity of this Press Release, the Effenbert Liberty Racing Team would like to pay respect and solidarity to Joan Lascorz’s whole family and the Kawasaki Team. We pray for him.
