Granado is ready for his first adventure in CEV The 2012 season has now arrived with the first official appointment which awaits the JiR Team with its rider Eric Granado at the Jerez circuit. This is the first round of the CEV Spanish Championship, which will be followed by Navarra (April 22nd) and Aragon (May 27th). After a winter spent getting comfortable with the new official MotoBI, with whom the young Brazilian has ridden more than 2500 km, he is now eager to compete with other riders and continue along the path towards his World Championship debut, scheduled for Silverstone GP (June 17th). Granado is a future bet of Team Principal Gianluca Montiron who wants to invest in a project for young people. Eric during the pre-season testing has shown to have good qualities in both speed and adaptability by making progressive improvements each time he is on track. Gianluca Montiron Our sports program, as previously announced, includes the debut of Eric in the CEV championship, as we have to wait for him to become 16 years of age to debut in the World Championship. This will allow him a deeper understanding of the dynamics of his new Moto2 machine and for him to be prepared to compete with more experienced riders that already run in the World Championship. The tests done until now have given positive signals, recording continuous improvements that give us good hope. With this race we officially launch a partnership that will bind us to a three-year plan and that leaves the right time to help the young rider mature, knowing that we can rely on a professional team and major sponsors who have supported this growth plan. This will include participation in two Italian races thanks to the support of the Italian Motorcycle Federation which will allow our rider to know the circuits where he will compete in the World Championship. Eric Granado I am satisfied for how the pre-season testing went, we rode a lot on the track and I was able to adapt to such a heavy and powerful machine as the Moto2. I still have lots of room for improvement, I am encouraged by the fact that every time I go to the track my feeling increases and the times become lower and lower. We have been working to find the feeling with the bike, doing various tests on riding position, weight distribution and also different mappings for the engine-braking, that is way different from the 125. Now we leave for those three races of the CEV in which we will give our best to honour the commitment and get well prepared, then finally my dream of the World Championship will come true.
