Aquino Changes Plans, Will Ride For FOGI Racing In CEV/Spanish Moto2 National Championship

FOGI Racing Joins Forces With Tommy Aquino For CEV Spanish Championship FOGI Racing is delighted to announce they have secured Tommy Aquino as primary rider for the Spanish CEV Series. Halifax, NS Canadian motorcycle road racing team FOGI Racing is pleased to announce a partnership with Tommy Aquino as their primary rider in the Spanish CEV Championship. FOGI Racing continues to work towards providing young athletes a means to get to the world championship of motorcycle road racing. Canadian rider Ben Young will continue to be the primary rider in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class, while Tommy will pilot the program in the Spanish series. FOGI Racing’s Andrew Murray was asked how the partnership came together and replied, “It has been a very busy week since the Daytona 200. We have made some great contacts with select riders during the off season, but while in Daytona we had a prime opportunity present itself with Tommy.” Tommy Aquino has been chosen as the primary pilot for the Spanish CEV Moto2 program because of his consistency and experience. Even though Tommy is only 19 years old he has had significant experience as a National Factory rider in the AMA Daytona Sportbike Class running at the top of the field. He has also spent time racing in two significant tracks as part of the Spanish CEV where he has tested very well. Tommy is a great young athlete that has his goals set directly on the pinnacle of motorcycle road racing, aligned perfectly with the goals of FOGI Racing. He is a perfect spokesperson for FOGI’s strategic business partners and FOGI is excited to be working with him for 2012 and into 2013 when together they can join the world championship series. FOGI Racing continues their partnership with FTR which will allow Tommy to pilot the Moto2 M211 machinery. FOGI Racing is excited to be a part of the series with Tommy and looks forward to finding one additional rider to utilize the other FTR M210 machine which will be available at select rounds. The season kicks off April 1st in Circuito de Jerez, followed by the second round on April 22nd in Circuito de Navarra just west of Pamplona, Spain. FOGI Racing is looking forward to an exciting season!
