Dumas, Dwyer, Kling, Merck Win WERA National Challenge Races At Roebling Road Raceway

THANK- YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS! This weekend WERA Motorcycle Roadracing took the show to Roebling Road Raceway, in Bloomingdale, GA on the schedule for Saturday was the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series and then Sunday was Round #1 of the WERA/Michelin National Challenge Series. All the results can be found on the site but we would like to take a minute to thank all the riders who came out and put on such a great show Mother Nature for her cooperation and the WERA Officials who worked hard to make the event run smoothly, our sponsors Pirelli and Michelin as well as TOBC who provided the WERA Staff with new shirts and they look fabulous!

Stand-out races on Sunday had to be the Open Superstock Expert Race and the WERA Superbike Race both had the top 5 in hot contention for the top of the box Sean Dwyer on his Suzuki 1000 managed to pull off both wins over Tim Bemisderfer on his Suzuki 1000 in the WERA Superbike Race by 0.002 seconds! Fast lap went to Luie Zendejas on his Suzuki 1000 with a 1:11.749. In the WERA Superbike Race, Francis Dumas on his BMW 1000 visiting from Canada rounded out the podium in the Open Superstock Class and Tim Hunt on his Suzuki 1000 was 3rd in WERA Superbike. Palmer Kling on his Honda 250 took the win in the inaugural Next Moto Champion Formula 3 Class. Jimmy Merck took multiple wins on his Suzuki 600 and James Stroud and James Dellinger also took multiple wins. Heather Szymonik took the win in Women’s Superstock and the 2012 Novices to keep an eye on will be Carson Zinger and Jamie Lee Murray in the 600cc Classes; Christian Crosslin in the Lightweight Classes and Wesley Davis and Chris Holbert in the 750cc and up classes.

WERA Motorcycle Roadracing would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the riders and winners that hold or have held a WERA Motorcycle Roadracing License who represented so well on the podiums and in the races at the 2012 Season Opener at DIS this past weekend. We are so proud to know all of you and keep up the stellar performances!
