Race Tire Service announces Dunlop trackside service at all AFM and Willow Springs events. Race Tire Service has secured its trackside staff and equipment for all the AFM and Willow Springs events for 2012. Even with the announcement of WSMC closing its operation, RTS has committed to servicing sanctioned club events at Willow Springs that may be added to the calendar for 2012. Service will be direct from RTS with full factory distributor inventory of UK and new USA product. All trackside staff will be part of the RTS team to ensure the maximum amount of support possible. The full Dunlop product line will be available starting at round one of the AFM series at ButtonwillowRacewayPark. The UK and USA N-Tec’s, along with fitments for the 650cc twins and the all new Ninja 250 tire, will be available for racers to compete on. Steve Brubaker, President of Race Tire Service, states, “Providing factory support is the best way to service racers. Racers want their tires direct from the source whenever possible. This system enables us to react to changing conditions, and the needs of the racers, without any supply problems or shortages. I know there have been issues in the past and I am committed to making the correct changes to help racers. I started my racing career with AFM at Willow Springs, that was my first home, and I won’t let them down”. RTS has hired Ryan Hoffman to be the point man for trackside service. Ryan has worked for many years servicing tire customers at Willow Springs as well as other tracks from 2006-2011. In addition, Ryan has a solid foundation of road racing experience from his time as a racer with WSMC and WERA West from 2002-2005. “I’m really excited to be part of the RTS Dunlop team. I live local to Willow Springs and have been on the racing scene for years. I know these tracks and the needs of racers. This is going to be a fun year,” commented Ryan. “I can’t wait for the first AFM event at Buttonwillow”. Ryan will tend to the RTS service equipment and the trackside tire inventory, Riders wishing to get tire before the event can call 800-772-8473 to order their tires in advance. However since there are no supply issues and RTS will have the full line available at the first AFM round, it is recommended that customers save the shipping cost and get their tires at the track. Since this is the first AFM round, RTS knows there will be lots of questions about the new tires and compounds, for this reason RTS will have Jim Cox, long time Dunlop service provider, on hand to answer questions and help customers with the new USA and the UK products. Jim is fresh from the Vegas WERA round where these tires were released. Race Tire Service is the National distributor for Dunlop motorcycle road racing tires and can be reached at www.dunlopracing.comor 800-772-TIRE (8473) Dunlop Tires is the largest supplier of original equipment and replacement motorcycle tires in the U.S. and the only manufacturer of motorcycle tires in North America.
