Wil Hahn, GEICO Powersports Honda In 2009 Wil landed five podium finishes and was considered a Lites title threat for the following year. In 2010 he placed second overall in the Supercross Lites West championship with two second place and three third place finishes. In the Outdoors that year he ended up tenth with his highest finish being fourth at Southwick. Since then the Texas native has shown some amazing speed but injuries have kept him from challenging for any titles. He is currently sidelined due to a fractured hip and he joins Pit Pass Radio to talk about his return. ~http://powersports.honda.com/racing/motocross/mxsx2_2012_honda_team.aspx~ Mike McDade, Arenacross Lites East Champion – Reed and Reese Racing This past weekend in Lexington Kentucky McDade sealed his championship in the Arenacross Lites East. This is only Mike’s second year racing Arenacross and he did it as a privateer with the support of Shane Shipley, Motocross Ministries, and a few other sponsors. Even though he only won the Baltimore round he was consistent each week landing on the podium and proving consistency wins championships. He just signed with Reed and Reese Racing and will be competing on a new bike this Saturday at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. www.arenacross.com David McDonald, President, Middle Tennessee Dirt Riders The MTDR hosts the annual Spring Ride at the historic Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch on March 30 through April 1. This is the 11th year and the event has grown into a regional gathering for off-road motorcycle and ATV enthusiasts. The ranch has over 3,000 acres of rolling hills and first class woods riding. In years past they’ve enjoyed the company of famous people like country music star Craig Morgan as well as several pro riders enjoying an off weekend. This year they expect over 1,000 riders in attendance for three days of fun. www.mtdr.net Ben Spies, MotoGP – Yamaha In January, Spies kicked off the 2012 season testing with teammate Jorge Lorenzo at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia on their 1000cc YZR-M1’s. It was the first time Spies was on the bike since Valencia. The team worked on base settings for the bike and getting back into the groove for the 2012 season. Spies celebrated his first victory in MotoGP last season which was the first win for an American since 2006. In 2010, Spies won the Rookie of the Year award in MotoGP and finished 6th overall. In 2009 he won the World Superbike Championship in his rookie year. Prior to leaving the U.S. Spies won a number of AMA Superbike championships and broke numerous records. www.benspies.com Jake Holden, AMA Superbike – BMW Jake will be racing in the AMA Superbike series in 2012 with the ESP BMW team. After a season plagued with injuries in 2011, Jake is looking forward to getting back to the Superbike class and running up front. He has numerous podiums to his name in AMA racing and finished 3rd in the 2010 XR1200 Series and also finished 3rd in the 2008 in the AMA Superstock class.
