Wagnon To Ride For HSBK Racing During 2012 CMRA Season

Houston, TX., January 31, 2012. Houston Superbikes (HSBK), Houston’s premier Italian motorcycle dealership, has just announced they will have a CMRA race team for the 2012 season. The team, called HSBK Racing, has already paired with Dunlop, Alpinestars and QD (Italy). They are proud to have rider Derek Wagnon as a part of the HSBK Racing Team. Wagnon started riding dirt bikes at age 5 and road racing in 2003 at age 11. At age 14, Wagnon set a new 125GP track record at Texas World Speedway Short Course beating previous record holder Nicky Hayden. For the next four years, Wagnon was selected as one of Roadracing World magazine’s “Young Guns.” In 2007, Wagnon earned this title taking 2nd at the AMA Grand National Championships in the 600 Superbike race. In 2009, riding #17 Wagnon established himself as an emerging leader in the racing circuit with three top 15 AMA finishes and two CMRA Superstock Championships. During the 2011 CMRA season, Wagnon achieved numerous accomplishments including a weekend best time just six-tenths off the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit record. He also took home Superstock Champion B and C in the CMRA Expert Sprint Series. In 2012, Wagnon will be riding an HSBK built 848EVO that’s ready for the track. “We are very pleased to announce the HSBK racing team, in addition to the sponsorship of Derek Wagnon.
