Multi-time Colombian Champion Santiago Villa has signed with Prieto Performance Team to compete in the 2012 AMA Pro Daytona SportBike season on board of 2 Yamahas R6. Santiago Villa has been racing with Sean Prieto and His team Prieto Performance for the past two years and in 2010 won the overall Number 1 place in the CCS SouthEast, Mid-Atlantic and Florida Regions during the CCS Championship, a record never achieved before. That same year, they won three national Championships at the Race of Champions in Daytona. In 2011 the Team got another two number 1 plates in the CCS SouthEast and Florida regions, and two nationals at the Daytona Race of Champions. SANTIAGO VILLA: “After losing my biggest sponsor and finding myself without the option of going back to Team Hammer, the team that had been my home for the past three years, I was very sad to know I wasn’t going to be able to race in the AMA Pro Series in 2012. But then Sean Prieto decided to try to build a program so we can also race the AMA Pro Series. I have no words. “Sean has helped me achieve many goals during my racing career and now that I didn’t have the support to do it, he stepped up and gave me a hand. We still don’t know if we are going to be able to race all the races, but at least we will try to be in some of them. We are trying hard to build a plan to do them all, and still keep racing the Florida region. Florida Region is very important to the Team because Florida is where the Team is located. So, all I can say is THANKS! As always, I will give my best to make my team proud. “I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to every member of the Team Hammer. Thank you for three years of learning and racing at the top level of the AMA. I don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am.” SEAN PRIETO: “Prieto Performance, Inc. has been racing with Santiago Villa for the last 2 years in the CCS, chasing Regional Championships in Florida, South East and Mid Atlantic regions. Together, we have won five Regional Championships in two years, and five Nationals. “Now through Prieto Performance prepped R6 Yamahas, we are proud to go to the next level and compete in the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike season with Santiago in 2012, while also chasing more regional championships in the CCS regions. “Santiago demonstrates how far he will go to achieve results through his passion, dedication and love for this sport. Racing with him has been fun and surprising at the same time when we realize no matter the obstacles, Santiago has been victorious. “I know Santiago is a rider that has the commitment and the enthusiasm required to be the best, and he won’t stop trying to accomplish excellence.” PRIETO PERFORMANCE INC. is located at 535 South Dixie Hwy E Pompano Beach, FL 33060, Estados Unidos, phone (954) 788-7528. Santiago Villa has also re-signed with Heroic Apparel, Arai Helmets, MSF DESIGN, Dunlop Tires, and his main 2012 sponsors ADDICT BY BOSI and Tacama Motul.
