TEAM PEDERCINI SIGN GUARNONI AND CONFIRM STARING FOR THE 2012 SUPERSTOCK 1000 FIM CUP Jeremy Guarnoni has signed for Team Pedercini for the 2012 racing season; the French rider will take part in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, riding for the Italian team on a Kawasaki ZX 10R. Guarnoni’s team mate will be Bryan Staring. The Aussie rider has renewed his agreement with Pedercini and he will therefore ride the Kawasaki ZX 10R for the second consecutive year. Guarnoni was the Superstock 600 Champion in 2010 when he won more races than anyone else, and scored a total of eight podium finishes. The 18-year-old talent from Toulouse in France last year raced in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, concluding the season in seventeenth position while Staring finished his first racing season in Europe in eleventh place. With Guarnoni and Staring, the Pedercini team has put together a solid new team; both riders are young but with a range of experience and a strong will to win the championship. Team Manager Donato Pedercini: “We are very excited to have Jeremy Guarnoni join our Superstock team for the 2012 season. Guarnoni is a young and very promising rider and he has been one of the riders we have followed very closely this year. We believe he’s got a long and bright future ahead of him at the highest levels in motorcycle racing. We are also really happy to have Bryan with us for a second year. In the closing stages of the 2011 Championship, he demonstrated that he has the technical ability to improve further as a rider and we believe that he can be one of the leading Superstock 1000 riders. During our last winter tests in Valencia and Aragon, Bryan was very fast and we saw a lot of improvement in our bike in terms of electronics and settings. Guarnoni and Staring are two excellent riders and we are confident that we have signed up two strong title challengers for 2012″. Jeremy Guarnoni: “I am really happy because I wasn’t expecting such a great opportunity. The last months have been pretty hard for me, I was without a team to ride next year after a difficult season without good results, but I’m only 18 years old and I won the European Superstock 600 Champion in 2010, so I was hopeful that someone like Pedercini would believe in me and give me a competitive bike and the opportunity to show that I’m talented. Next season is going to be very important for me because I’m going to ride a new bike in a new team, so we will have to learn to work together and attain the best possible results. I would like to thank all the people who’ve been supporting me during those hard months and I would like to thank all the Pedercini family for giving me such a wonderful chance to be a part of their team. I look forward to repaying their faith in me by giving all my motivation and dedication. The adventure begins”. Bryan Staring :”I’m so happy to be part of the Pedercini Kawasaki team again in the FIM Superstock 1000 class. I had a huge learning curve in 2011 and really think we can do better in 2012. Pedercini Kawasaki is a family run team that have made me very welcome and I really feel a part of this family now. I’m looking forward to getting the season underway again in 2012. The bike now has 12 months development under it’s belt, and my relationship with both it and the team are solid. I know what to expect from life and racing in Europe and plan to take advantage of all my mistakes in 2011. And for these reasons I’m happy to be back in Superstock 1000 class again. A massive thanks to the team and to Kawasaki for keeping their faith in me, I think we will show our best together in 2012″.
