Few riders in the 2011 World Superbike championship have generated as much excitement as young American Joshua Day. In his first season in the European Superstock 600 series Day showed an amazing ability to learn new tracks and took his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R to multiple podiums, pole positions and two race wins in one of the most competitive race series in the world. His racing has been highlighted by spectacular overtaking moves and a phenomenal race pace. Day finished the season a close overall second in the championship

For 2012 Josh will remain with Kawasaki and step up into the FIM World Supersport Championship, racing for the Italian ‘Go Eleven’ team. Team owner Gianni Ramello is passionate about motorcycle racing and helping young riders develop their careers, and the team is confident that with Joshua Day they will be competitive right from the start of the season.

Joshua Day “I’m really glad to have been given this opportunity after such a great year with Kawasaki in STK 600 and I’m going to do my best to give Go Eleven the results they deserve. I have to thank Gianni Ramello of Team Go Eleven for putting his faith in me and also Kawasaki, Leo Vince, Gina Nadeau from Competition Sports, and Gerry Bryce from Racedays for working so hard to put this package together. I know most of the circuits now, and I know I can be fast on the Kawasaki so we’ll be going for the win from day one.”

Gianni Ramello, Team Owner “When I first saw Josh in Stock 600 I had a dream to have him in my team. Now the dream has become reality! I think that Josh has really great qualities and that together we can do great things. The Team is very excited about this and we cannot wait to start working. I believe in young people and the philosophy of my team is to give them the opportunity to advance. And so I wanted Josh to join us and I will also continue with the talented Christian Gamarino in STK 600. Thanks to Kawasaki and to all those who are so enthusiastic to take part in this project the mechanics, and our great team manager Denis Sacchetti. I’m sure that Josh is really the right man for this team and I feel that we can take away great satisfaction.”
