He started off the season with one podium finish and two top fives but had some problems with other riders at the Madison rounds with a 14th one night and a 10th the following night. A consistent top-five rider, Skaggs is just getting warmed up for what looks like a very competitive season in the AX class. During the season he had some ups and downs but managed to secure the most wins in the class with his three victories. He also took the victory at DuQuoin, Illinois which was an indoor event under the Chaplin Kawasaki backed singles machine. He finished 5th overall.
