Lake Elsinore, Calif. (September 28) The Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Ride is returning to Daytona International Speedway, in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Thursday, October 13 to offer riding instruction, track sessions for track day riders, and practice for licensed CCS, ASRA and AHRMA racers.
School students will receive classroom and on-track instruction from Chief Instructor Michael Martin, a five-time WERA National Endurance Champion, including 50 race wins; Martin Cardenas, an AMA Pro Superbike race winner and the 2010 AMA Pro Daytona SportBike Champion; Elena Myers, an AMA Pro SuperSport racer, the first female to win an AMA Pro road race and the first female to ride an 800cc MotoGP racebike; Chris Ulrich, a current AMA Pro Superbike racer, an AMA Pro Superstock race winner and a two-time winner of the 8 Hours At Daytona; Dane Westby, an AMA Pro Daytona SportBike race winner and a winner of the 8 Hours At Daytona; and Rick Shaw, the former all-time mileage record holder for the Daytona 200.
This is the only opportunity available to riders without a racing license to ride at Daytona International Speedway. Graduates of the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School are eligible to apply for a CCS or WERA racing license.
The deadline to sign up at discounted pre-entry prices is 12:00 p.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) on October 4, 2011. Post-entries will still be welcomed as late as the morning of Thursday, October 13, but those riders will have to pay a higher price and wait longer wait at the sign-up building.
Also, in addition to the usual discount offered to returning Team Hammer Advanced Riding School graduates, returning Team Hammer Track Ride participants can also enjoy a new discounted rate. Riders seeking these discounts are required to provide proof of prior participation.
Rental riding gear is still available, but making arrangements in advanced is strongly recommended.
