Astra Honda Motors, Indonesia has released two new models; a racing character sport bike – the CBR150R and a new Honda Blade. To help drive sales of these new machines, Astra Honda enlisted the services of three special guests, Repsol Honda MotoGP riders Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso and Casey Stoner to star in two TV spots. With the introduction of the new CBR150R, Astra Honda hope to strengthen Honda’s sport bike brand image in the premium category in Indonesia, offering customers a high performance sporty looking motorcycle. It comes with a 4-stroke, 150cc, DOHC, 4-valve, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with auto fan, and twin tube frame. It’s high environmental performance, which adopts an electronically controlled fuel injection system (PGM-Fi) meets Euro2 emission standards. “Honda CBR150R is the real Sport Bike which has a racing character DOHC engine. The DNA of a MotoGP bike can be found in this motorcycle” said Yusuke Hori, President Director AHM. “It will give more choices for customers, especially in the premium sport segment. We believe this product will fulfil Honda CBR250R in Honda’s sport premium segment in Indonesia,” said Executive Vice President Director AHM, Johannes Loman. Meanwhile, with the launch of the New Honda Blade, Astra Honda expect to increase the presence of Honda motorcycle in the middle cub segment and to strengthen the position of Honda in Indonesia. The target is the younger generation who want to appear confident and enjoy racing. Equipped with EFT, an engine capacity of 110 cc, SOHC, 4-stroke with efficient high-performance, this machine is enhanced by using a new technology called HVIC [Honda Variable Ignition Control] that makes the ignition process more efficient. Features also include front and rear disc brakes that provide more optimal braking power. In addition, it is also equipped with a useful 7-litre baggage storage.
