Alexis MASBOU, France (KTM), 1:49.994 More, from a press release issued by Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team: VIÑALES QUALIFIED IN FOURTH POSITION WITH GREAT EXPECTATIONS FOR THE RACE. GADEA WILL START FROM THIRD ROW AND IS WILLING TO FIGHT HS WAY UP. Indianapolis 27 AUGUST 2011. The Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing team did a good job today at the Qualifying Practice. Maverick Viñales will start in fourth position on the starting grid whereas his team-mate Sergio Gadea will start nineth. Maverick rode in the top three most of the session – although he was not familiar with the track at all – and only missed the front row by 52 thousandths. Sergio held a good pace but he could not achieve the ultimate fastest lap that would have enabled him to qualify on the front or second row. Tyre wearing-out will be the major issue that every team will have to face during the race. The rider who will manage to set his bike up so as to make the tyres last as long as possible will have a serious option tomorrow. 25 MAVERICK VIÑALES (4th 1.48.991 +792): “I am glad, truly glad. I think we’ve got a serious chance tomorrow. We know what we have ready for tomorrow because we worked a lot for it and what’s more, it didn’t annoy us much in terms of times and positions. I do like this track and I think it’s fun even though I must confess I couldn’t get the hang of it during the first sessions. Perhaps the lack of roadholding helped. As the training practices went by the grip improved and I did well at the Qualifying Practice. I hope I’ll have fun tomorrow andI’ll get a good result.” 33 SERGIO GADEA (9th 1.49.919 +1.720): “It can’t be said it’s a great qualifying result but we have to focus on the race. This morning everything went fine with hard tyres and I thought I could do better at the Qualifying Practice with soft ones. However things didn’t turn out like that and I lagged too far behind the lead pack. I gave it what I could but still couldn’t achieve the lap or the time we expected. Now we have to try out risky options to set the bike up and hope we’ll hold a good pace tomorrow to be in the conditions to battle with the best.”
