The month of September is always a busy month as racing for the 2011 season starts to wind down. The month begins on September 3 and 4 with a Pirelli/WERA Sportsman event at BeaveRun in Wampum, PA. September 9/10/11 finds Round #6 of the WERA National Endurance Series, the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series and the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series headed into Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL for an action packed weekend. Also on September 11 the Pirelli/WERA West Sportsman Series presented by Lucas Oil takes on Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Moving to September 17/18 the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series visits Summit Point Raceway in WV. This event will award double points in the Pirelli/WERA Sprint races on Sunday to make up for the points lost at VIR in March when the Sunday racing was canceled due to weather and low turn-out. September 24/25 the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series has two events, one at Nelson Ledges Road Course in Ohio and the other will be the final motorcycle road race held at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, TN. Dover Motorsports, the parent company of Nashville Superspeedway, is closing the track at the end of October. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing has been holding events at Nashville Superspeedway since they opened and this venue will be missed on the WERA Circuit in 2012! Camping is available at all our races and tickets are available at the gate for all events as well! Come on out and catch some of the final events in the various WERA Regions for 2011!
