2010 AMA SuperSsport National Champion Austin DeHaven will be returning to the AMA from his European SuperStock 600 season to attend the U.S. Gran Prix at Laguna Seca and ride for the Triple Crown Industries Daytona SportBike team. Rejoining with his 2010 Chief Mechanic Robert Ward, Austin will be joining current team rider Paul Allison on what has been a very competitive effort from the team in 2011, with many top 10 finishes so far. Austin will be riding the #156 Yamaha R6 sponsored by Triple Crown Industries along with support from his long-time personal sponsors: Motosport.com, California Superbike School, KBC Helmets, EBC Brakes, TCX Boots, BikeRacing.it, Angel City Studios, SHIFT, CT Racing, Canyon Racer Clothing, Slednecks, and PSR USA. After taking the 2010 AMA title in the one-event shootout at Barber Motorsports Park, Austin was offered a chance to compete on the world stage in 2011 with Team Trasimeno Yamaha in the European STK600 Championship. Now taking a break from his duties Europe he will fly home and take part in the Laguna Seca event, where Austin sat on the front row in 2010 and took a 2nd place finish, on a track he enjoys and has seen success in multiple categories over the years. “I am really looking forward to this event. When Robert and Dave contacted me a few weeks ago I couldn’t say yes fast enough. I have always loved Laguna. It’s where I did my first test for the Red Bull Rookies cup in 2008, and since then I have always had good races there. 2010 at Laguna was my breakthrough race where I took my first professional podium. Now stepping up to Daytona SportBike I am very excited. The field looks so competitive, and I am looking forward to joining so many riders that I have grown up with racing over the years once again. I am ready for the challenge though as I feel I have learned and grown so much racing in Europe this year, so I am looking forward to putting it to good use,” says Austin when asked about the experience to come. Austin would like to thank all his sponsors, and a very special thanks to all his friends and fans who have supported him this year so far and made his racing possible. Austin will be doing live updates and feeds all weekend so please follow him on Facebook, Twitter and on the web at twitter @austindehaven56 ~facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Austin-DeHaven/111202858962568~ www.austindehaven.com
