DAYTONA BEACH, FL (July 10, 2011) – AMA Pro Racing is proud to announce far-ranging improvements to web-based and mobile services that boost race-action experience for fans both at the track and at home. From updates to the series’ highly touted iPhone apps and Live Timing Pages, to the creation of an all-new mobile site, fans of the AMA Pro Road Racing and AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Flat Track Championships can now access more information — and more quickly — than ever before. Thanks to massive additional functionality built in to new updates to the series’ Pro Road Race and Flat Track iPhone apps, fans can now access rider headshots, bios, and additional timing data for all riders during live sessions. And with Retina display now supported for iPhone 4 users, those high-speed images now display in high-res. AMA Pro’s in-house developers didn’t stop there, however: in response to user requests, the apps now support screen rotation for landscape viewing, feature faster loading times and enhanced navigation, and take advantage of the iPhone’s multitasking functionality to relaunch to the last place a user was, instead of reloading the entire application. Android app users can likewise look forward to increased speed in the weeks ahead, and all web-enable mobile users will now be directed to the new AMA Pro Racing Mobile Site (http://m.amaproracing.com), where a quick click on either Road Racing or Flat Track directs fans to a wealth of easy-to-navigate information such as season schedules, news teasers, live timing, and ticket links, plus full Twitter integration and Facebook “Like” features. The series’ Road Race and Flat Track Live Timing pages — ~http://live.amaproracing.com/rr/~ and ~http://live.amaproracing.com/ft/~ — are compatible with all major operating systems and browsers and have served to keep fans up-to-the-second on the progress of favorite riders and teams since their initial launch. Now, however, that fan-involvement extends even further, with the incorporation of social media modules that take the action right to fans’ Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. AMA Pro’s iPhone apps for Road Race and Flat Track are available in the iTunes store (Pro and Lite versions available), while Android users should head for the Android Market. The apps, mobile site, and Live Timing pages represent just part of AMA Pro Racing’s ongoing commitment to provide a richer, more immersive experience for fans.
