MONTEREY, Calif. MotoGP stars, exclusive memorabilia and suite access at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and it’s all for a good cause Riders for Health. Riders for Health is an international non-profit organization that mobilizes health workers in Africa with reliable motorcycles so that they can reach rural communities with essential health care services. The charity works closely with MotoGP and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to heighten awareness of its programs among their seasoned fans. An impressive auction of MotoGP memorabilia will be held at 4 p.m. in the Turn 4 Suites on Thursday July 21. Admission to the auction is free so even those motorcycle fans not participating in the Day of Stars event may take part. Some of the auction items include: Mini Champs Models signed by Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo Tissot Watch signed by Bradley Smith, Colin Edwards, Randy De Puniet, Taylor Mackenzie, Ben Spies, Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo and Alvaro Bautista Yamaha Factory Racing Rucksack signed by Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies A variety of team hats signed by their riders: Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso, Hiroshi Aoyoma, Alvaro Bautista and Dani Pedrosa Day of Stars is hosted by 13-time grand prix winner and co-founder of Riders for Health, Randy Mamola. The event begins with a motorcycle tour of beautiful Carmel Valley, followed by a catered lunch at the racetrack and then an exclusive tour of pit lane. In the afternoon, participants receive two parade laps around the world-renown Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, before heading back to a suite for interviews with team managers, MotoGP riders and special guests. In previous years stars such as Kenny Roberts, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Colin Edwards, Ben Spies, Tony Elias, Marco Melandri, Randy De Puniet and Loris Capirossi have attended. There are only 50 spots available for the Day of Stars.
