Bemisderfer, Gaige, Thomas Win ASRA Pole Positions At Summit Point Raceway

Bemisderfer Qualifies on SuperStock Pole for Michelin Pro Series at Summit Point Summit Point, WV May 29, 2011 – Tim Bemisderfer put his Vesrah Suzuki on pole for Monday’s Michelin Pro SuperStock race here at Summit Point Circuit. Bemisderfer topped a field of 17 riders on his way to a 1:14.588. Bob Michael piloted his B&E Motorsports.net KTM RC8 to second position with a time of 1:15.588 and David Loikits wrung a 1.15.517 time from his Suzuki to round out the top three positions. In Michelin Pro SportBike Sam Gaige landed the pole with a 1:14.643 on the Rider’s Discount Yamaha R6. Mark Miller was second in the field of 11 riders with a 1:15.625 on his Mar Del Auto Yamaha R6 and Scotty Ryan was third with the Bliss Machine Yamaha turning a 1:15.754. In Michelin Pro ThunderBike qualifying Joey Thomas took the pole with a 1:21.245 aboard his Ducati followed by Ray Hofman with a 1:22.206 aboard the Sams Well Drilling Suziki 650. Peter Meringolo aboard the European Cycle Services Ducati was just three tenths behind with a 1:22.503. In Amateur SuperStock Jeff Betton of Carlisle, PA locked down pole position on a Suzuki 600 with a time of 1:18.587. In Amateur SportBike Betton knocked down his second pole for the weekend with a lap time of 1:19.909 again aboard his Suzuki 600. In Amateur ThunderBike David Souders landed the pole with a time of 1:25.923. The American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA) is the parent organization of the Championship Cup Series (CCS), the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States. ASRA sanctions eight Michelin Pro Series and eight Michelin Team Challenge road racing events for 2011. The CCS Series runs 50 events in 2011 at popular tracks around the united states. Tracks include Road America, Daytona, Loudon, Firebird, Heartland Park, and Virginia International among other fine venues.
