The balances of races for the month of April will be on April 16/17 at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, TN with a Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Round, then the series moves back West to Buttonwillow in Buttonwillow, CA on April 23/24 with the Pirelli/WERA West Sportsman Series presented by Lucas Oil Products and featuring Round #1 of the California State Championships and Sunday Easter Egg Hunt for our riders. On April 30/31 the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series moves into Nelson Ledges in Warren, OH. In 2010 WERA Motorcycle Roadracing paid the riders $52,196.00 in purses with the Solo races run on Saturday at the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman events. Due to the increases in expenses at the facilities (up in cost averaging $800.00 to $1500.00 in rental & medical/personnel costs) and the downturn in participation the purses offered at the Solo races will stop as of May 1, 2011. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing hopes to re-introduce the purses once participation improves. The Solo races will continue and will have trophies for 1st through 3rd . There has been a date change in the Pirelli/WERA West Series presented by Lucas Oil the November 12/13 event on the Classic Course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been moved to October 1 and 2 for 2011. For more information on WERA Motorcycle Roadracing please check out our web site at www.wera.com! Tickets for all events are available at the gate and camping is available at all our venues.
