Kinelogix presents a two-day classroom/on-track seminar, Motorcycle Racing with Data, May 1-2, at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, California. Sunday, May 1, will be spent in the classroom followed by a day on the track on Monday, May 2. The Sunday Classroom Session is hosted and presented by Kamal Amer of Kinelogix. We will cover the basics of data acquisition systems and software from a racer’s point of view: · What it is and how it works · Selecting, installing and operating a system · What it can do for you, and what it cannot do for you · Integrating it into your racing program · A process to become a faster, smoother, safer rider The Monday Track Day is hosted by Pacific Track Time with motorcycles provided by FEEL LIKE A PRO. You will ride a Ninja 250 equipped with a data acquisition system recording: § Maps of your riding lines · Throttle position · Brake pressure · Lean angle · Lap and Sector times § After each session we will review your data to: · Evaluate the consistency of apexes, braking and throttle control · Identify opportunities for improving lines and technique · Measuring your progress The Sunday class is intended for anyone interested in learning about data acquisition and how to use it. The Monday Track Day is intended for experienced racers and Track Day riders. Only SEVEN spots are available. You must be able to ride in PTT’s “B” group on the Ninja 250 (2:25 Lap time).
