The USGPRU will be the guests of the Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association (CVMA) at the second round of the inaugural series at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. The purebred racing 125cc and 250cc Grand Prix machines of the USGPRU will join the full schedule of CVMA races on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17. In addition, the USGPRU sponsored by Roadracingworld.com will host on Saturday of the event a round of the 2011 Moriwaki MD250H championship, a series with $142,000 in contingency and prizes up for grabs throughout the season. After a successful opening round in March, the CVMA is back with a full slate of sprint races on Saturday and Sunday, for bikes ranging from mild to wild and for riders from Amateurs to Experts. March’s races saw up-and-coming Young Guns including Lex Hartl and Ryan Matter facing off against KFGs (Known Fast Guys) like Karl Lowry Jr., winner of the inaugural CVMA Unlimited Shootout and multi-time regional champion, and former AMA Superbike contender Dale Kieffer. Saturday’s races include the one-hour Team Challenge endurance race for two-rider teams on one or two motorcycles, and Sunday’s schedule includes the extended-length Shootout races for Lightweight, Middleweight and Unlimited machines. SoCal Track Days is set to sponsor the CVMA Unlimited Shootout, with TrackDaz sponsoring the CVMA Middleweight Shootout and West Coast GP Cycles sponsoring the Team Challenge Lightweight event. In addition, representatives from all four major tire manufacturers Cyclemall/Bridgestone, Erion Racing/Dunlop, Racers Edge/Michelin and CT Racing/Run GP/Pirelli will be on hand, providing tires and support, as well as sponsoring the Formula Open, Formula Middleweight, SuperSport Middleweight and Formula Twins classes. Online Registration is available for CVMA members for the April 16-17 race event. To register, visit our homepage at www.cvmaracing.com and click on “Enter Races.” Before registering, please check the weekend schedule to make sure the races you want to enter do not conflict. Conflicts will be the responsibility of the racer to avoid. The Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association owned and operated by motorcycle racers and enthusiasts will host a six-round, doubleheader series in 2011 on the newest road circuit in Southern California. The 2.68-mile Ed Bargy-designed course is easily accessible from the Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix metropolitan areas and was created with motorcycle road racing in mind.
