The presentation of Team Pedercini 2011 was held on 2nd April at the “L’altro io” Club, in Monzambano, Italy, near the beautiful Lake Garda. It was a very nice event attended by a large public attendance including more than one hundred “Lucio Pedercini Fan Club” members. The attention of the evening was focused on a brief history of the team followed by short interviews with Donato, Donatella and Lucio Pedercini. Father and son explained the reasons that led to choose to participate in both the Superbike Championship and the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, with a total of five riders. During the event the team’s Superbike riders Mark Aitchison and Roberto Rolfo unveiled the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R machines to be ridden in the Superbike World Championship in 2011. “I am very determined about the season ahead”, Roberto Rolfo said, “and my objective is to do well and maybe even fight for the top eight-to-ten. Whatever happens I will be giving my best in every race. The Pedercini Team is really like a family and this will help me to reach the results I want.” “It’s my first year in Superbike,” Mark Aitchison said, “and I know it’s a difficult championship, but our team and bike potential is very high and I hope to adapt my riding style to the new category very soon.” Later on, the three Superstock riders – Italian Marco Bussolotti, Argentine Leandro “Tati” Mercado and Aussie Bryan Staring carried out an unveiling and showed their new Kawasaki Ninja its nice and aggressive colours. It was a good opportunity also to introduce the Italian Superstock 1000 and Superbike championships riders. In Superstock Italian championship Team Pedercini will line up the same riders of the European FIM Cup while in Superbike the riders are Marco Borciani (two times Italian Superbike champion) and Fulvio Faccietti. Donato Pedercini: “It is a day to celebrate, with our team reaching 18 years of age. Everything is in place for us to have a good season this year. The team have been working hard in the first two Superbike races. We have a competitive line-up both in Superbike and the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup and I am sure that we will be celebrating the kind of results that we know the team is capable of.” Lucio Pedercini: “I am happy that we are able to work this year with two riders of the calibre of Rolfo and Aitchison, while in Superstock our riders are young but very competitive and eager to win. We think this will be a good season for us. Kawasaki have given us a great bike and we are looking forward to Assen and can’t wait to get on track for the third race of the Superbike and the first race of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup.”
