Jennings GP Jennings, Florida CCS Stefano Mesa took his second consecutive Unlimited Grand Prix victory and broke the CCS lap record at Jennings GP on his Ducati Miami/Desmomaniacs 848EVO. Mesa nabbed the lead at the start of the race with Santiago Villa and Tim Hunt close behind. On lap two, Mesa ran the fastest lap of the race and broke the CCS track record which has been held by Tomy Puerta since April, 2009, and was also set on a Ducati Miami/Desmomaniacs Ducati 848. Mesa ‘s time of 1:15.623 was just a fraction of a second faster than Puerta’s record of 1:15.991. As he was pushing Mesa from behind, Villa also beat Puerta’s record on lap two of the Unimited Grand Prix race with a lap time of 1:15.682, a mere fraction of a second behind Mesa. Villa finished the race second on his Prieto Performance Yamaha YZF-R6, and Hunt third on his KWS Motorsports Suzuki GSX-R750. Mesa made the podium in all seven of his classes on the Ducati 848EVO, winning a total of four. He also finished first in the Middleweight Supersport, Unlimited Superbike, and Supertwins races. He finished second in the GTO and Middleweight Superbike classes, and third in GTU. Villa was the winningest racer of the weekend again, with six wins and four second place finishes. He won the GTO, GTU, Heavyweight Supersport, Middleweight Superbike, Heavyweight Superbike, and Middleweight Grand Prix races, and finished second in Middleweight Supersport, Unlimited Superbike, and Unlimited Supersport classes.
