Alberto MONCAYO, Spain (APRILIA), 1:49.247 More, from a press release issued by Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team: BLUSENS by PARIS HILTON RACING TEAM DUO WILL START FROM FOURTH ROW AT GP OF SPAIN. SERGIO WILL BE IN ELEVENTH POSITION AND MAVERICK IN TWELFTH Jerez, 2nd April 2011. Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team didn’t achieve a good result at the official practice sessions of GP of Spain held at Jerez circuit in weather conditions which were less hot than yesterday as the sky was partly overcast. The two riders qualified on the fourth row of the starting grid one beside the other. Sergio is starting in the eleventh position and Maverick Viñales in the twelfth. Puçol-born rider had a difficult day -he crashed at the FP3 held this morning while he had already hit the ground at the second free practice session on Friday. After he finished in the top ten at the FP1 and FP2 he finally dropped to the thirteenth position today. He didn’t manage to set good lap-times and this has caused him to start only from the fourth row of the starting grid where he will battle to reach the podium again. Figueras-born rider – who had qualified in the top ten at the three free practice sessions with a finish of sixth and a lap-time of 1’48.729 as best result at the FP3 this morning experienced a few problems with the front of his Aprilia which forced him to drop by the box several times over the 40 minutes of practice and probably prevented him to achieve a better qualifying result. Hence he didn’t equal or improve on the ninth position on the grid he had set at GP of Qatar. Tomorrow he will aim at finishing in the top ten as he did at his debut GP at Losail. 33 SERGIO GADEA (11th. 1’49.416, +2.017): “To be honest I expected to qualify in a better position and with a better time and despite we worked at our maximum we didn’t manage to make things completely right for us. The two crashes I had today and yesterday didn’t have any consequences at all on this result as I am aware these are things that can happen and I am not even thinking about it. I think the bike perhaps was lacking acceleration a little and it’s hard to tell right now what can possibly happen tomorrow because I don’t know how everything is going to work. Depending on how it works I’ll achieve one thing or the other. On the one hand if both the bike and I work well I’ll be in the right position to battle to achieve a great result. On the other hand if one of the two fails I don’t know what it’s going to be like but at least I am sure that both the team and I will give our maximum so I am not worried. 25 MAVERICK VIÑALES (12th. 1’49.463, +2.064): “To make a long story short I think we have had a great weekend and as for the race we only have to make the T3 and T4 faster and if we are able to improve on this two partials I am sure we’ll be in the battle for the top ten which would be a fantastic result. We’ve got a few problems with the front end of the bike which we didn’t have during the pre-season tests and we haven’t found a solution yet but we have the whole afternoon ahead to work on it and solve it. Ther pace isn’t great either but we’ll try to make a good start to have options to stick to the leading group and ride as fast as possible. Tomorrow’s race is to be enjoyed as our suporters willl turn up and this will be my first GP in Spain but the objective is to at least equal the finish of ninth in Qatar as it would mean we are going ahead. Anyway we have to be alert as the rivals are coming on strong.”
