This coming weekend, April 1 – 3, 2011, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) returns to action at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. The three-day event marks the second race event of the CMRA’s 2011 road race series. The event schedule kicks off on Friday with a Lone Star Track Days sanctioned track day and CMRA license school. Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Mini sprint races, and an 8-hour Big Bike endurance race sponsored by Shogun/Brooks Gremmels featuring a $2500 cash purse! Sunday’s schedule boasts a full day of exciting and competitive Big Bike sprint races. Entry into the event is just $15 on Friday and Saturday, and only $10 on Sunday. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting. (Please note that no pets are allowed at any of the CMRA race events.) The racers always put on a good show on Texas World Speedway’s fast and thrilling 2.9 mile road course, so come on out and be a part of it!
