AMA Pro Racing will add a 10th round to its 2011 National Guard Superbike Championship schedule. That’s the word from AMA Pro Racing Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner David Atlas. “There will be a 10th round,” Atlas told Roadracingworld.com at the conclusion of the rider’s meeting Thursday at Daytona International Speedway. “We will be making an announcement within the next two to three weeks.” Atlas would not comment on where or when the 10th round would be held. Earlier in the rider’s meeting Atlas discussed the sale of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the bankruptcy/reorganization plans of New Jersey Motorsports Park. Atlas told participants and stakeholders that those developments should not impact the AMA Pro Racing events scheduled at those venues, but if something changed that would impact the events they would be informed immediately. The current 2011 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Schedule: 3/10-12 Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, FL 5/13-15 Infineon Raceway, Sonoma, CA 5/28-29 Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele, UT 6/3-5 Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI 6/17-19 Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, AL 7/8-10 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH 7/22-24 Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Monterey, CA 8/12-14 VIRginia International Raceway, Alton, VA 9/2-4 New Jersey Motorsports Park, Millville, NJ
