March 7 – Corona, CA – Following hot on the heels of announcing its $12 million racing contingency program and the release of its 2011 Model Year Brochure, Husqvarna Motorcycles NA continues its rapid expansion by adding industry veteran Sharon Richards to the team. “These dynamic moves reinforce BMW’s strong commitment to the Husqvarna brand and strategically position it for success in the highly competitive off-road motorcycle industry,” says National Marketing Manager Corey Eastman. “Sharon will be a great addition to the Husqvarna family.” In her new role with Husqvarna North America, Richards will be based in the Corona headquarters. Her job title is Marketing Coordinator, “But she will really be doing everything, from overseeing our amateur race efforts to marketing and communications,” says Corey. Sharon is uniquely qualified to handle all these disparate duties after an extensive career in the powersports industry. Following a successful 12-year tenure at Kawasaki working with the Team Green Program, Sharon served as General Manager for Off-Road Management Services Ltd. and spent time with Pro Circuit as well. “Motorcycling is both Sharon’s vocation and avocation and we couldn’t have found a more perfectly qualified candidate,” adds Eastman. “This is just the tip of the spear, we have even more exciting things coming down the pike in the very near future,” notes Corey. “Adding Sharon to the mix with National Sales Manager Revelle Harrison and After Sales Manager Andy Jefferson makes for an impressive management team to reinvigorate Husqvarna North America.” She can now be reached at: [email protected]
