Phillip Island (Australia), Thursday 24 February 2011 – The official WorldSBK.com website is to receive a cosmetic restyling just in time for the opening round of the 2011 FIM Superbike World Championship, which takes place this weekend at Phillip Island (Australia). To keep abreast of the growing status of the championship, WorldSBK.com will now have cleaner new graphics, a new home page layout, more information about circuits, riders, teams and bikes, more interactivity as well as being more user-friendly. In addition to the English, Italian and German versions that are already available, starting from this year the website will now be produced in two more languages French and Spanish in order to reflect World Superbike’s increasing penetration into the major European markets. The home page will also have a double format, switching automatically between ‘on’ and ‘off’ race modes to reflect the greater flow of information available during the weekend events on the calendar. The site will obviously continue to be a constant source of official news, images, results and standings for fans of the production-based Superbike, Supersport and Superstock series. Tickets and Travel will again be prominent to cater for the travel needs of all SBK fans, while new content will include dedicated sections on World Superbike history, rules and regulations and a special SBK Village area. Further new contents will be launched at a future date. These will include the new SBK Energy Zone project in March, a free access area for registered users, including Media professionals, that will provide exclusive videos, images, a selection of top media articles, promotional activities and opportunities, including the SBK Facebook grandstand project. The new site goes online tomorrow, just in time to project all Superbike fans straight into the heat of the action at Phillip Island. Join us there on www.WorldSBK.com!
