Motorcycle Road Racing To Bring Heat on Nevada Race Track TTP Racing Series Schedules Four Action Packed Weekends of Racing RENO, NV (January 21, 2011) “” Twisted Track Promotions and Pirelli Tires will bring two-wheel adrenaline junkies several weekends of racing action to the Reno Fernley Raceway, beginning June 25. The TTP Racing Series is a series of weekend events taking place June 25, 26, July 23, 24, August 20, 21, and September 17, 18, that deliver the fury of street bike racing to the Nevada desert for both qualifying and placement races. TTP has come out on top of growing pains and now exiting the test phase of the series, is ready to launch into 2011 with a solid racing program. Participating riders have five classes to enter, and each class includes a Super Pole and two races. Race partakers can also take advantage of track practice opportunities. The lightweight, heavyweight, middleweight, twins and open street qualifying races take place on the Saturday of each race block, and will determine the grid positions for Sunday’s main events. Each Saturday kicks off with asphalts hot, where racers will begin fifteen minute practice laps. The day continues with Super Pole races for all classes, with qualifying times for Sunday’s heat races posted at the day’s end. Sunday’s bring each class to its climax, opening with a quick practice session and the heat races for individual classes. The main event races get underway with light and middleweight classes. Prizes for those classes will be given to first, second, and third place in Pirelli Tire contingency money. Each weekend’s focal point, Reno Premier “Dash for Cash” race, brings together each individual class for one, all-encompassing race, where the motto “rung what you brung” challenges racers to push the limits of their equipment and skills in pursuit of a handsome cash prize. Reno’s Unlimited Dash for Cash class costs an additional fee to race. Rider registration money goes into a collective and is matched seventy-five percent by Twisted Track Promotions. It is then dispensed in seven spots, the first five placers receiving cash, and 6th and 7th place scoring more Pirelli contingency. The race appeals to both local and regional riders, but offers locals a chance to compete in an event that isn’t often offered around Nevada. “Local riders don’t have this,” said Twisted Track Promotions founder and organizer, Sam Britt. “This is a great way for locals to unite with California and beyond riders for a chance to win prizes and compete on their own territory.” Registration for the June race is now open online at TTPRacing.com for both licensed and non-licensed riders.
