CT Racing’s Riders Pascarella and Dehaven Set The Pace At Autoclub Speedway CT Racing/Pirelli riders Austin Dehaven and Joey Pascarella dominated the B Superstock and C Superbike grids at the WERA West season opener January 9th at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana, CA. Both riders ran the latest Pirelli 120/180 DOT set on their Yamaha R6’s, and came away with podium finishes in all respective classes. Joey Pascarella kicked it off with a win in C Superbike over Bryce Prince. Austin Dehaven rounded out the podium with the 3rd place finish. B Superstock saw Austin Dehaven come out strong after a red flag restart to take the win with Joey Pascarella covering 2nd. Both riders also podiumed in C Superstock, with Pascarella taking a 2nd and Dehaven finishing 3rd. Cory Neuer of CT Racing/Pirelli had this to say; “The results from the Pirelli racing tires speak for themselves. Austin and Joey are both really hard workers and good riders. I’m very happy with the performance of the tires, and both riders represented Pirelli very well. The temperatures were colder than normal for Fontana and the tire performance was still very impressive.” Austin Dehaven had this to add: “ I went over 1.5 seconds faster then I have ever gone at Fontana before. That shocked me as with the sub 50deg weather my Pirelli’s really hooked up. I have only been to Auto Club Speedway once before on the 600 and so I think with that and the weather it was a really good weekend for me. We did a lot of suspension testing and got through a load of new parts so I am very excited for the coming year. I would like to thank my sponsors : CT Racing, Pirelli tires, KBC Helmets, Shift Leathers, TXC Boots, California Superbike School, Motosport.com, EBC, Lees Cycle Service, Factory Bodyworks, Slednecks, PSR-USA, Bazzaz Performance, Zero Gravity “I had some much fun in B Superstock, ” says Joey Pascarella. ” I had to start from Row 8 and work my way up to the front. Then I got a horrible start after the red flag, and Austin got the jump on me, but I worked my way back up to 2nd, and had a good time racing Austin. I look forward to the next WERA round at Vegas and getting on the track again. I had a great time riding this weekend it was just great to be back out riding. The Pirellis felt great-they always do-and Cory and Chris always take really good care of me. I want to thank my sponsors for their help: Mach 1 Motorsports, CT Racing/Pirelli, Shoei helmets Shift leathers, TXC Boots, Full Spectrum, GPR, Factory Bodyworks, CRG, Leo Vince, Galfer, Shane at Off the Mark Creations, and my friends and family.” Dehaven’s and Pascarella next WERA West event will be at Las Vegas Classic Course, January 29-30, 2011.
