Dates for the Calgary Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) events (at Race City in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) have just been released: May 7 : Race School June 11 -12 : Round 1 June 25-26 : Round 2 July 23-24 : Round 3 August 27 -28 : Round 4 Sept 17-18 : Rounds 5+6 Double header and Western Canadian Championship round Note that this year there will be a new women’s cup class added to the mix. About the CMRA The Calgary Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization incorporated in the province of Alberta, Canada. The CMRA was formed in 1987 to give local motorcycle enthusiasts a means to improve their motorcycling skills through racing. The CMRA is a highly respected organization throughout the Canadian motorcycling community, hosting the internationally televised Canadian National Superbike Series and its own CMRA Regional racing series. The objectives of the CMRA are: * To promote amateur and professional motorcycle roadracing in Western Canada, with emphasis on safety. * To create and maintain a positive image of the sport, and encourage participation by all interested persons. * To engage in fund raising activities to defray expenses. * To provide for the recreation of the members and to promote and afford opportunity for friendly and social activities. * To oversee the organization of motorcycle roadraces, and to ensure that they are run in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner.
