Cycle World, Ride for Kids® unveil latest project bike; drawing to benefit Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation® Ride for Kids® and Cycle World are longtime partners in the fight against childhood brain tumors, and tonight they will unveil their latest collaboration at the San Mateo International Motorcycle Show. Cycle World’s Project Bike by Gregg’s Customs for Ride for Kids® is called “The Catalyst.” Bike builder Gregg DesJardins has transformed this stock Honda CBR1000RR into a one-of-a-kind machine for a drawing to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation® (PBTF). Inspired by early 1980s Superbikes, the Catalyst is intended to help the PBTF find a cure for the deadliest form of childhood cancer. “If I have an opportunity to help sick kids I’m happy to take it,” says DesJardins. “I couldn’t imagine having a sick child and I would like to do all I can to help ease that situation for others.” American Honda donated the motorcycle for the drawing, as it has done for the past several years. Many other companies provided parts and craftsmanship. Thanks to Performance Machine, Dunlop, Leo Vince, Sport Chrome, Drive Systems USA, Kyle Racing, Galfer, Corbin, EMI Group and Colorzone Designs for their contributions. Honda is also moving the bike to each city on the International Motorcycle Show circuit. Show producer Advanstar is highlighting Ride for Kids® at each event. This is the 11th motorcycle drawing that Cycle World has done with Ride for Kids® for the PBTF.
