Pocomoke City, Maryland (November 11, 2010) At home on leave from serving in Afghanistan, US Army PFC Jacob “Jake” Peterson took delivery of his new Fischer MRX American-made sport motorcycle. Manufactured by Fischer Motor Company of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Jake’s new MRX was shipped directly to him while at home in Texas during his first trip home in over a year. Jake was only home for a week, but he clocked over 1200 miles on his new MRX! “I’ve been dreaming of getting my MRX since I first saw a picture of it up on the wall, and I knew I had to have one.” Jake is in the 173rd Airborne Infantry, 1-91 Air Cav, serving in the PSD- or Personal Security Detail- Platoon. The metallic black MRX SP, complete with beautiful aluminum gold wheels, Brembo brakes and Ohlins shock absorber weighs only 355 lbs and handles with razor sharp precision thanks to the lightweight and ultra-rigid Trellispar frame- the world’s only one-piece motorcycle frame. “It looks amazing, and handles even better. People ask me about it wherever I go,” continues Jake, who plans to ship his MRX to his next assignment in Germany. Company president Dan Fischer was also proud to deliver another MRX to someone serving in our military. “We’ve had several customers who wanted to treat themselves to a new MRXafter serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. It makes all of us here at the factory very proud that we can build them something that they are looking forward to- something that helps keep them going. We hope they know how much we appreciate their service.” About Fischer Motor Company Fischer Motor Company is an American motorcycle manufacturer located in Pocomoke City, Maryland.
