FIRST PERSON/OPINION Via e-mail: David Eggleston 1961 2010 David worked for the AFM at Infineon (then Sears Point) from 1987 to 1995 along with his mother, Marge. David had Down Syndrome. They were diehards for most of those years. They pretty much lived in the old Turn 9. David was the flagger. I remember (during) one morning meeting, Marge was chatting with one of the other workers and David said: “Quiet mom, Phill’s talking.” He was a favorite to all the workers and was a part of our worker family. They were one of the first “families” (worker with an adult child) that worked for me. Recently David got Alzheimer’s, but Marge said that David would point and smile whenever he saw motorcycle racing on TV. David also worked for McDonald’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond in his hometown of Elk Grove, California. David died from complications from pneumonia. No services are planned for David. If you would like to send any of your memories or notes to Marge, please forward them to me and I will make sure she gets them. Godspeed, David.
