A runner up in the TTXGP World title The title of 2010 TTXGP goes to Himmelmann of Munch, but the Italian rider “Branna” gave great show with eCRP and his talent as a professional rider, winning second place in a league where the regulation does not provide a distinction between the classes, and namely, the MotoGP motorcycles on track with the 125cc motorcycles and Moto2, this would be considered quite out of ordinary. But Italy is still on the podium at Albacete. The final of Albacete showed that the performance of the Italian CRP Racing team, both for the technology developed on the track, and for the competitiveness of the men and the speed with which the technical staff is able to design and build the bike, in only eight months, a time of real champions! The eCRP 1.2 has shown great performance against all rivals with a similar motor combination. The Munch ran a motor system characterized by different technology and was able to produce a powerful combination. The eCRP has fought to the end, giving a hard time Himmelmann. Despite the power deficit of the eCRP, Branna was able to eliminating the gap lap after lap utilizing the superior handling of the eCRP and came within a few tenths of first place. Alessandro Brannetti: “I can be happy with my first season with the electric bike, I tried to win the world title after winning the European title at Brands Hatch, I tried to pull Himmelmann, but I have not succeeded by a narrow margin. Neither of them was going to give up until the last meter. I take home still a good result, which saw a super job by the coaching staff who knew how to solve those problems in a very short time that the controller in the days of testing we have given some thought. The bike was perfect and this Sunday thanks to the great professionalism of all the technicians of CRP Racing. ” A race weekend, which should have seen the Russian team on track with the SMP Racing eCRP 1.2, but unfortunately due to controller problems, they could not race with the others. It is with the regret of all the staff at CRP Racing, that worked until the last and did their best to enable the Alexey Ivanov to be on track. But this is part of the rules of motorsport. Despite this setback, the opinion of the Russian team about the eCRP has stayed the same, as they have chosen to work with CRP Racing having seen the proven agility and professionalism of the group. As regards the race of Brannetti, the Italian team gave a great show of tenacity and they conquered the second place ahead of teams representing all series of the TTXGP. A grid of respect: 12 riders took to the track to prove that electric competition is a reality and that the show is guaranteed. Strong emotions were interspersed with moments of excitement, where participants pushed their machines and minds to the edge, all demonstrating a high level of competition. More, from a press release issued by MÃœNCH Racing: As a first in history MÃœNCH earns two e-Power world champion titles. MÃœNCH Racing blessed with Overall Championship title of TTXGP eGrandprix after having won the title in the FIM e-Power constructing engineer category. All spectators got to witness a really thrilling racing final yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock in Abacete (Spain). Matthias Himmelmann (MÃœNCH racing Team, Germany) and Alessandro Brannetti (CRP Racing, Italy) both have once again proven their amazing driving abilities during a very suspenseful 9 lap neck to neck race. Eventually it was only a 0.228 second that allowed Matthias Himmelmann to emerge victorious out of the final race of the TTXG eGrandprix 2010 and made him world champion 2010. Having dominated the international FIM e-Power racing series this season, MÃœNCH can now call itself World Champion of all electronic racing series. Not only did the team win the most important category of the racing series, the FIM e-Power constructing engineer category, but they have also once again proven their talent and competence with the historic victory last Sunday, October 24th in Albacete. The qualified racing drivers could not have been opposed to more varying racing conditions. While some had put their best driving skills and dangerous slow-downs to a good use others had to restrain a powerful racing machine which caused long slow-downs. This, on the other hand, was compensated by an outstanding acceleration. Matthias Himmelmann and Alessandro Brannetti drove such powerful racing machines. Both drivers took the leadership in turns until the MÃœNCH racing driver Matthias Himmelmann used the chance to break out of the two men group during the final racing lap. Alessandro Brannetti was not able to catch up to Himmelmann which ensured Himmelmann’s victory. “What a sensational racing final” said Thomas Petsch, Manager of the MÃœNCH racing team enthusiastically. “Due to this victory we’re the first team to win both the TTXGP and the FIM series. Today is a historic day which sets new standards for the yet young sport of e-Power motorbike racing.” MÃœNCH racing demonstrated once again history in the making. After having broken all records of the last century with the big bike, the MÃœNCH Mammut, Thomas Petsch and his team placed a new milestone in the legendary MÃœNCH history last Sunday. A German team is once again the precursor for technical progress and outstanding development.
