Homestead Race of Champions Announcements from CCS October 11, 2010 – The Championship Cup Series has issued some important announcements regarding their Race of Champions event this weekend at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. INFIELD CAMPING AVAILABLE FOR SELF-CONTAINED CAMPERS: Responding to requests from racers, Homestead-Miami Speedway informed us today that infield camping during our R.O.C. event will be allowed for self-contained campers and motorhomes only. The cost will be $25 per night for electric hookup from Thursday night, Oct. 14th, through Saturday night, Oct. 16th. No other facilities will be available, so each unit must be self-sufficient. Extra security has been obtained for those nights, but it is strongly suggested that garage renters lock up their equipment and tools before exiting each night. LOCATION CHANGED FOR AWARDS PRESENTATION: The Race of Champions Trophy presentation, originally set to be held in the Champions Club, has been changed to the Drivers’ Room lounge located in the paddock area. Festivities will begin approximately one hour after the last checkered flag. Awards will be presented to all who have won National Championships in CCS classes as well as in the Michelin Pro Series ASRA Pro and Team Challenge. All racers, crew and staff are invited to congratulate the winners and in celebration of a great 2010 season.
