HASLAM TO MAKE DEBUT UK APPEARANCE ON BMW S 1000 RR AT OULTON PARK THIS WEEKEND 2010 World Superbike Championship runner-up Leon Haslam will make a special appearance at Oulton Park this weekend (9-10 October) – his first in the UK since being announced as an official factory rider for the BMW Motorsports team next season. Fans attending this weekend’s title-deciding final round of the MCE Insurance British Championship (BSB) in Cheshire will see Britain’s highest ranked rider on the world stage take to the track for the first time on championship and race winning BMW S 1000 RR machinery in track demonstrations on both Saturday and Sunday. Leon will be at the Cheshire circuit to support his friend and fellow BMW rider Steve Brogan, who is defending a slender points advantage in the mirror.co.uk EVO category of British Superbikes. BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs said: “Leon joining us at Oulton Park this weekend adds further to the already huge sense of expectation of a great occasion. The weather forecast also looks set to approach 70 degrees; perfect weekend weather for the history making six-rider British Superbike title fight in front of a huge crowd.”
