“MOTO DEI MITI: LEGENDARY BIKES” THE SITE DEDICATED TO GENESIO BEVILACQUA’S COLLECTION IS NOW ONLINE Civita Castellana, 2nd October 2010 The web site dedicated to “Moto dei Miti: Legendary Bikes”, the personal motorcycle collection of Genesio Bevilacqua, is finally online (www.genesiobevilacqua.com). A collection built around a passion that the owner has lived first-hand. With these words we sum up the collection of about fifty motorcycles that Genesio Bevilacqua exhibits at his base in Civita Castellana. There are a variety of themes explored within this important collection: the first recounts the sporting history of one of Genesio’s personal friends, Paolo Pileri. There is the beautiful Morbidelli 125, world champion with Paolo on board, alongside the Honda RS 125 with which Pileri, as team manager, guided a young Loris Capirossi to the title, and the Honda RS 250 of the same team. The second theme regards legendary bikes. The Norton Manx 500 could not be excluded from such a line up and shows itself off next to a replica of the Ducati 750 that won at Imola and the Suzuki 500 RG ridden in the World Championship by Marco Lucchinelli. Also exhibited is the almost unique Cagiva 500 V594 ridden by John Kocinski. The passion for the “red” Ducati is evident and is celebrated in Bevilacqua’s collection by a bike of rare beauty and importance: the Desmosedici GP05, that was raced competitively by Loris Capirossi, or the GP07 that Casey Stoner powered to the world title. The incredible series of titles and races won in the Superbike championship are represented by the 1098 F08 that Troy Bayliss rode to victory in his final season. All this and more is described on the web site designed by StyleCom2000: the reasons behind the collection are explained in both English and Italian by Bevilacqua himself, with introductions from both Claudio Porrozzi and Fabrizio Marcucci. In the “Moto dei Miti: Legendary Bikes” section, you can take a virtual tour of the exhibition area through a series of 360° images while, by clicking on “Bikes”, the visitor can learn about the history and characteristics of each model in the collection, thanks to photography by Fabrizio Porrozzi. “Buy and Sell” is the area reserved for classified advertisements while “Racing” takes the visitor to the pages of the Althea Racing Team, managed by Bevilacqua, that participates in the World Superbike Championship with riders Carlos Checa and Shane Byrne. “Moto dei Miti: Legendary Bikes” is now online at www.genesiobevilacqua.com
