RYAN KERR READY FOR A FUN WEEKEND OF RACING AT BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK Johnstown, Ohio”¦Ready for a fun weekend of racing, Ryan Kerr and the Ryan Kerr Racing crew head for the Superbike Classic at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala., September 24-26. “I am definitely excited about this upcoming event,” says Kerr who ended the season in 8th overall in AMA Pro SuperSport East. “It is a special two-race shootout event.” he explains. “And, that takes off some of the pressure. We always want to do well, but not having to worry about points makes this more fun. Once again, this is a brand new track for me. From what I have heard, Barber is an extremely motorcycle friendly track. They also tell me that it is very technical and a good handling bike is definitely a major key to doing well. The crew has my Kawasaki hooked up and I think with a little luck I think we can hold our own. I like technical tracks and am looking forward to trying my hand at this one.” Racing two 17 lap races of 40 miles each, Kerr will be on the gas from the start. “We finished every race,” he says. “And, we have every intention of finishing this one. Crashing out isn’t in our program.” In his first year of professional road racing, Ryan Kerr Racing is small privateer team based in Ohio. “Being a new privateer team this season, “explains Kerr, “we didn’t have the luxury of being able to participate in the tests or open track days. “Every track we went to with the exception of Mid-Ohio was a new challenge. And, at the one track we knew, we had a major suspension problem. We are really pleased to have finished in the top ten. The competition is actually pretty fierce in this class and there are a number of riders capable of winning each time out. I learned an incredible amount and we fully intend to be back next year with a vengeance. My dream is to go all the way to the top and that is what I plan to do.” Ryan Kerr Racing is sponsored by MJ USA, 614Paintworx, Leo Vince, Arai, Di-Digital Impressions, Woodcraft, KobieC.com, Kawasaki and MJ Motorgear, and Mid-Ohio School. More, from a press release issued by Waznie Racing: Szoke Withdraws From AMA Superbike Barber Motorsports Park Round 10 Jordan Szoke has been traveling south of the border to compete in select AMA Superbike Championship events during the 2010 season, most recently at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course and Virginia International Raceway, finishing respectively within the top 10. Jordan has regrettably withdrawn from Round 10 held this weekend Sept 24-26 at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham Alabama. “We unfortunately just didn’t have the budget to compete this weekend, which really sucks because we were really moving forward with our equipment.” says Szoke “With Mid Ohio and VIR under out belts we got the time we needed on to go faster. We plan on regrouping for next season, and are working extremely hard starting now to make it happen.” Jordan Szoke and his Waznie Racing Ciclo Werks BMC DeWildt Honda team achieved the perceived impossible in 2010. Dominating Superbike by claiming all superpole wins and all 7 victories, Szoke executed the legendary “Perfect Season” to affirm his 7th National Superbike Championship. Jordan also won all pole positions to defeat his competitors with 6 out of 7 victories, retaining his 5th consecutive National Pro Sportbike National title. During his first season as team owner and manager of Waznie Racing Ciclo Werks BMC Dewildt Honda, Szoke and his crew were also awarded the coveted “Team of the Year” More, from a press release issued by Travis Wyman’s publicist: Travis Wyman is Teaming up With Vesrah Suzuki and Rev it Leathers After coming off a tough weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Travis Wyman is more than ready for the final round at Barber Motorsports Park. At NJMP, Travis Finished 9th and 10th in Supersport, and 3rd in the Vance and Hines XR1200 class. “I am more than happy with the opportunity that Vesrah is providing me, and I feel that I will have the capability to run at the front of the pack this weekend. I have turned a number of laps at this track and want to end the 2010 AMA season on a good note. I am also fortunate enough to represent Rev It leathers, and hope to bring them a good result.” Travis is now in second place in the XR1200 standings and could take the championship on his Harv’s Harley-Davidson with a win or second place. He is also currently 9th place in the Supersport Standings and hopes to come away with a podium finish at Barber. Travis would like to thank his sponsors for all their help and support this year!
