Silverstone’s iconic new Pit, Paddock and Conference Complex is firmly on schedule for completion in May 2011. With work on the spectacular building progressing at pace, thoughts are turning to what the new facility will be called. Silverstone and the circuit’s owner, the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC), will be considering a number of possible names over the coming months, and are keen to involve the public in the process. With this in mind, the circuit is inviting fans to put forward their own suggestions for the name of this pioneering development, and potentially become part of Silverstone’s illustrious history. All entries received before 17:00hrs on Friday 08 October will be reviewed by a panel of high profile judges, with the best suggestion being put forward for final consideration by the Silverstone Team. As an added incentive to get creative, the entrant coming up with the best suggestion will win the following prize package, courtesy of Silverstone: · VIP invitation for two (winner + guest) to attend the official opening of Silverstone’s new Pit and Paddock Complex in May, 2011 · Race day hospitality for two (winner + guest) at the 2011 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix on Sunday 10 July · Race day hospitality for two (winner + guest) at the 2011 AirAsia British Grand Prix (MotoGP) on Sunday 19 June (provisional date) · A Silverstone Super Choice Voucher choose from six of Silverstone’s most popular Driving Experiences, including the Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lotus, Formula Silverstone Single-Seater, Lamborghini, or Rally experience (one experience for the winner only) Fans are able to submit their entry via the Silverstone website (*terms and conditions apply): www.silverstone.co.uk. The new Pit and Paddock Complex will reaffirm Silverstone’s position as a premier racing destination, providing world class facilities, including new garages, a race control building, flexible conference and exhibition space, new podium, media centre, hospitality and VIP spectator zones. The facility was designed with speed and velocity as a base concept, but the new name does not necessarily have to be motor sport related. For further information on the new building, visit www.silverstone.co.uk/development. * Pit and Paddock Prize Draw Terms and Conditions · Closing date for entries: 17:00hrs on Friday 08 October, 2010 · Participants are required to submit their entry via www.silverstone.co.uk · One entry per person · Participants must be UK residents, 18 years old or over at the time of entry, provide a valid email address and be a subscriber to the Silverstone Circuits Limited database · In the event that the panel selects a name submitted by more than one entrant, the winner will be selected at random · The winner will be notified by email within one month of the competition closing date · Full Terms and Conditions available at www.silverstone.co.uk/pitandpaddock
