SPEED™ TEAMS WITH SOFT PAUER ON OFFICIAL MOTOGP LIVE TIMING APP FEATURE AVAILABLE ON iPHONE, iPOD TOUCH, iPAD AND ANDROID SPEED, the North American television home to MotoGP motorcycle racing coverage, announces a partnership with Soft Pauer that enables fans to bring live timing and scoring to their smart phones and other mobile devices. The Official MotoGP Live Timing Application Premium Pass was launched by Soft Pauer at the beginning of the MotoGP 2010 season. It was an immediate success as MotoGP fans were, for the first time, able to experience MotoGP in a new and innovative way. The App, which will now carry SPEED branding for all North American sales, offers an unprecedented level of information to consumers, which can be immediately understood with the unique dynamic/interactive track map which provides the users with a clear illustration of all the gaps between the riders. With users also able to access the same live timing information and in the same format that is used by the teams at each Grand Prix venue to track the progress of a session or particular team or rider. Uniquely, all the data from the whole season will be retained on the user’s device to enable them to look back at and re-run the sessions whenever they want. Soft Pauer’s Chief Executive Otmar Szafnauer said, “We’re delighted to partner with such a prestigious organization as SPEED. The tie-up is a natural one and will give MotoGP fans a unique perspective of a race weekend. Short of actually being on one of the bikes, you can’t get closer to the action”. “This is a fantastic App and we’re very keen to get involved with it.” said Kevin Annison, VP of Digital & Interactive Media for SPEED. “We are always striving to give our viewers the best possible coverage of each MotoGP event and enhance our telecast through new and innovative technologies. By adding this App to complement our TV coverage, I think we’ve succeeded in that endeavor.” The MotoGP on SPEED App is available on the iTunes Store and Android Market at a cost of $11.99. Users will immediately receive all the races run so far in 2010, as well getting all the ones to come live. The next MotoGP World Championship race on SPEED — from Aragon, Spain — is scheduled for Sept. 19 at 9 a.m. ET. To learn more about Soft Pauer, please visit www.softpauer.com.
