Victory of Matthias Himmelmann (Münch RT) at Magny Cours before Thijs de Rider (Crystalyte) and Thomas Betti (Betti Moto) Matthias Himmelmann (Münch Racing Team, Germany) imposed himself quite logically during the fourth round of the FIM e Power International Championship. This is Matthias’ first victory in this new championship reserved for electric motorcycles. Thijs de Ridder (Crystalyte Europe, Belgium) and winner of the event in Albacete, Spain, was the principal rival during the 7 lap race. Himmelmann made his best lap in 2’11.556 and de Ridder in 2’12.576. Thomas Betti (Betti Moto), winner of the first round in Le Mans, was able to secure the third place in front of Christian Amendt (Epo Bike.de Honda), having made promising practice sessions. Luciano Betti had to abandon due to engine problem and Stefano Scrocchi was unable to take the start, due to battery malfunction. The first title of the FIM e Power International Championship will be decided between Thomas Betti and Thijs de Ridder dueing the next and last round in Imola, Italy, which will be held on 26 September, in the program of the FIM Superbike World Championship round.
