The 17 year old Bavarian finished the first free practice today on 14th place and was within a second away from 6th place and just above two seconds slower than 1st position. Schrötter was able to continue with his good performance from Indy and is confident that he can continue with it this weekend. Marcel Schrötter, 14 – 1’46.489: “The first free practice did go quite well. I got slowly into the flow at the beginning as my leathers are new and all is still a bit uncomfortable. After we changed some settings in the pit garage it went much better for me. I was able to stay with the small group in front of me, and my time improved. Then Krummenacher overtook me and I followed him. I am satisfied for the first se ssion around.” Terrell Thien, Team Manager: “Marcel could continue with the performance he showed in Indy and I am happy about that. The first practice went well and the times were even better than in Indy. The track is quite bumpy and not easy to deal with, but for the start of this weekend I cannot complain about the result Marcel achieved. We will see how he will improve further on.”
