Americans To Test Moto2 Racebikes August 19-20 At Indy

Hayden, DiSalvo, Noyes, Schwantz available for interviews at 12:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20 American Moto2 riders Roger Lee Hayden, Jason DiSalvo and Kenny Noyes will prepare for their first appearance in the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 by testing Thursday, Aug. 19 and Friday, Aug. 20 on the 2.621-mile road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All three riders and 1993 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz will be available for interviews from 12:40-12:55 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20 on pit lane near the Yard of Bricks at IMS. Media can shoot footage and photos of Hayden at speed on track from 1-1:30 p.m. Friday. Hayden, from Owensboro, Ky., is riding as a wild-card entry for Team Honda/Moriwaki, managed by 1993 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz. Hayden is the younger brother of Nicky Hayden, 2006 MotoGP World Champion and two-time Red Bull Indianapolis GP podium finisher. DiSalvo, from Stafford, N.Y., will ride a wild-card FTR M210 backed by GP Tech. He has made a Grand Prix start in the 125cc and 250cc classes and has been a standout in American Motorcyclist Association competition for the last decade. Noyes, from Borrego Springs, Calif., rides full time in the new Moto2 class for the Jack & Jones by A. Banderas team, which includes Hollywood star and lifelong motorcycle enthusiast Antonio Banderas as a partner. He was raised in California and Barcelona, Spain, as his father, Dennis, was a motorcycle racer in many Spanish series. Fans are welcome to view the test from adjacent to the Hall of Fame Museum in the IMS infield.
