Luis SALOM, Spain (APRILIA), 2:09.496 More, from a press release issued by Interwetten Honda: Schrötter far too timid Unfortunately the qualifying for the Grand Prix Ceské republiky did not bring any improvement for Marcel Schrötter. The 18th position is not a satisfying result for the Interwetten Honda 125 Team as they did not have to any technical problems and still the performance of the 17 year old rookie was inadequate. Schrötter says he didn’t have enough grip on the track, so they changed the tyres. His feeling got better after the change of the tyres and he improved in the last couple of laps. For tomorrow’s race further improvements must be found, but Schrötter is optimistic that he will have a better performance in the race. Marcel Schrötter, 18 – 2’10.610: “At the end of the qualifying it was going better, then we tried different tyres and I did not slide as much as before anymore. My feeling for the bike got better immediately. Then I had to ride alone and I was not able to stay with the lap times. I am still optimistic that it will be better tomorrow.” Terrell Thien, Team Manager: “I am not satisfied at all with this performance. Marcel does not risk anything; he is too timid. It always looks very relaxed when he is riding. We will have to sit and talk a little bit longer tonight as there is not the excuse that we had technical problems this time.”
